Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Goa (Stay in Goa)
Arrive at Goa’s airport or railway station, where you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Complete your check-in and spend the remainder of the day relaxing at the hotel or visiting a nearby beach.
Day 2: Coastal Goa (Stay in Goa)
After breakfast, explore selected beaches and coastal landmarks based on the location of your hotel. A North Goa itinerary could include areas around Candolim, Calangute, Vagator and Fort Aguada. A South Goa itinerary could focus on quieter beaches such as Benaulim, Varca, Cavelossim or Palolem. Goa Tourism lists a wide range of beaches across both North and South Goa, allowing the day to be adapted to different travel styles.
Day 3: Heritage, Culture and Panaji (Stay in Goa)
Explore a different side of Goa through Panaji, Old Goa and selected heritage attractions. The day can include historic churches, temples, museums, forts or a walk through one of Goa’s older neighbourhoods. Old Goa includes monuments recognised as UNESCO World Heritage sites.
Day 4: Departure
Check out from your hotel and transfer to the airport or railway station for your return journey. If your departure is later in the day, additional leisure time, shopping or sightseeing can be arranged.

About the Destination
Good to Know about
Goa, India
About the Destination
Goa may be known for its beaches, but the state offers much more than a conventional coastal holiday. Its landscape brings together the Arabian Sea, rivers, forested interiors, old neighbourhoods, churches, temples, forts and villages shaped by layers of history and local culture.
The kind of Goa you experience depends greatly on where you stay. North Goa is known for lively neighbourhoods, restaurants and popular beaches, while South Goa offers quieter coastal stretches and a slower pace. Beyond both lies another Goa of heritage homes, local markets, nature, food and everyday village life, making it easy to shape the holiday around relaxation, exploration or a mix of both.
Best time to Visit
October to March offers pleasant weather, clearer skies and comfortable conditions for beaches and sightseeing.
December and the New Year period are particularly busy, so accommodation should be booked well in advance.
June to September brings the monsoon, when Goa becomes greener and better suited to nature, food and slower experiences.
April and May are warmer and more humid, although beach stays and relaxed resort holidays remain possible.
Visa Requirement
Indian citizens do not require a visa to travel to Goa. Travellers should carry a valid government-issued photo ID for flights, trains, hotel check-ins and other travel requirements. International visitors must comply with the visa and entry requirements applicable to travel within India.
Planning Money
The currency used is the Indian Rupee (INR). UPI, cards and digital payments are accepted across most hotels, restaurants and tourist areas. Carrying some cash is still useful for local markets, smaller shops, beach vendors and establishments with limited connectivity.
