Plan a visit for:

Waterfront evenings, neighbourhood walks, hawker favourites and days out with the family. Singapore brings plenty together in one compact city, with room for both busy days and unhurried exploring.
Visa Requirement

Indian passport holders require a visa before travelling to Singapore. Your passport should be valid for at least six months on arrival. Submit the free SG Arrival Card within three days before arrival, including the day you arrive. The arrival card is separate from your visa.

Ideal Duration

4–5 days for a first visit, combining Marina Bay, Gardens by the Bay, neighbourhood walks and a day on Sentosa. Allow 6–7 days if you want more time for theme parks, wildlife attractions and slower exploring.

Planning Money

The local currency is the Singapore Dollar (SGD). Cards and contactless payments are widely accepted, but carry some local cash for smaller purchases and hawker stalls.

About the Destination

Singapore’s best moments can be quite different from one another. An evening watching the waterfront light up at Marina Bay. Breakfast at a hawker centre, with a cup of kopi and something you have never tried before. A walk past colourful shophouses, followed by an afternoon among gardens and glass conservatories.

Chinatown, Little India and Kampong Gelam each offer another way into the city through food, architecture, places of worship and everyday life. Beyond these neighbourhoods, there are museums to spend an afternoon in, green spaces for an early walk and Sentosa for beaches and family days out. Getting around is straightforward, making it easy to build a holiday around what interests you and leave space for discoveries along the way.

Best time to Visit
  • Singapore is a year-round destination, with warm, humid weather.

  • Rain is possible in every month, so keep some indoor options in your plans.

  • Schedule outdoor walks for mornings or late afternoons, with museums and indoor attractions during the hotter part of the day.

Planning the flights
  • Direct flights connect Singapore with major Indian cities, including Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kolkata.

  • Flying time is roughly 4–6 hours, depending on your departure city.

  • Flights arrive at Singapore Changi Airport, with onward connections into the city by MRT, taxi and other transfer options.
