Dubai, United Arab Emirates
A city escape shaped by striking skylines, desert landscapes and life along the creek.

Plan a visit for:
Skyline views, desert evenings, beach days and walks through old souks. Dubai brings together big attractions and quieter discoveries, whether you’re planning a family holiday, a couple’s getaway or a short break.
Visa Requirement
Indian passport holders generally require a UAE visa arranged before travel. Some travellers qualify for visa on arrival, depending on the overseas visas or residence permits they hold. Your passport should be valid for at least six months. Confirm your eligibility and required documents before booking.
Ideal Duration
4–5 days for a first visit, combining Downtown Dubai, Old Dubai, a desert experience and time by the beach. Allow 6–7 days if you want to include theme parks, more leisurely days or a trip to nearby Abu Dhabi.
Planning Money
The local currency is the UAE Dirham (AED). Cards are widely accepted, but keep some cash for souks and smaller purchases. Set aside a separate budget for observation decks, theme parks and organised experiences, depending on what you want to include.

About the Destination
Dubai is often introduced through its skyline, but a holiday here can take you well beyond the observation decks. Around Dubai Creek, abras carry people between neighbourhoods, trading streets lead into spice and gold souks, and the lanes of Al Fahidi offer a different sense of the city’s scale and history.
Then there is the Dubai of beach mornings, ambitious architecture and restaurants serving food from across the world. You can spend a day among Downtown’s attractions, head into the desert for an evening or leave an afternoon free for the waterfront. The distances between neighbourhoods make it worth planning each day around one part of the city, with time to enjoy where you are.
Best time to Visit
November–March is generally the most comfortable period for outdoor sightseeing, beach time and desert experiences.
April and October are warmer, with outdoor plans better suited to early mornings and evenings.
May–September brings intense heat; plan around indoor attractions and limit time outdoors during the day.
Planning the flights
Direct flights connect Dubai with major Indian cities, including Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad.
Flying time varies by departure city; Mumbai–Dubai takes around 3 hours 15 minutes, while Delhi–Dubai takes around 3 hours 30 minutes.
Check your arrival airport when booking: Dubai International (DXB) and Al Maktoum International (DWC) are in different parts of the city.
