DZONGRI AND GOECHALA

For a glimpse of the magnificent, the third highest mountain in the world, Mt Kanchendzonga. Trek from Yuksom to Samiti Lake, one of the high altitude fresh waterlakes. From this lake, one can climb up to the Goecha La pass, and view the majestic splendors of Mount Kanchendzonga, Mount Kabru and Kabru Dome, Forked Peak, Pandim and Lami Peaks. Also, starting from the Samiti Lake, one can trek through Thangsing, Dzongri. Up to Tsokha, where the Rhododendron trails starts. This is one of the most popular and fascinating treks in Sikkim. Yuksom is a historical place and was the earlier capital of Sikkim and it is also acts as the entry to Kanchendzonga National Park.

Trekking Itinerary of Dzongri & Goechala

Day 01:NJP Rly Stn/Bagdogra Airport - Yuksom

On arrival at NJP Rly Stn/Bagdogra Airport, meet and transfer

 to Yuksom. Overnight stay at hotel

Day 02: Yuksom - Sachen

Trek to Sachen and stay overnight at camp. (9 km 2600 mt)

Day 03: Sachen to Tshoka 

Trek to Tshoka and stay over night at camp (8 km 3000 mt)

Day 04: Tshoka to Dzongri 

Trek to Dzongri and stay over night at camp. (11 km 4100 mt)

Day 05:Dzongri

Visit Dzongri view point and stay overnight at camp

Day 06: Dzongri - Tshoka 

Trek Dzongri to Tshoka 

Overnight stay at camp (8 km 3000 mt)

Day 07:Tshoka - Yuksom

Trek Tshoka to Yuksom and stay over night in Yuksom

Day 08: Yuksom – NJP Rly Stn/Bagdogra Airport 

Depart Yuksam for NJP Rly Stn/Bagdogra Airport by car for 

next destination
